New Faces at STAR - Spring 2024

You may have noticed we have several new faces around the office at STAR. If you haven't had a chance to meet them yet, be sure to stop by and say "Hi!"

Whitney Seymore, Facilities Assistant
Whitney serves as STAR’s Facilities Assistant. He comes to STAR with years of experience in construction, framing, plumbing, and electrical work. Though he doesn’t have much horse experience, he is a regular jack of all trades and is a great addition to the STAR family.

Robyn Ulrich, Board Member
Former SVP at Scripps Networks Interactive, Robyn led home promotions and helped launch HGTV products and HGTV Magazine. Previously, she directed marketing at DIY Network and launched their respective websites. A University of Cincinnati graduate in graphic design, Ulrich is extremely involved in her community and now enjoys traveling, boating, and skiing in retirement with her husband.

Tim Hinson, Board Member
During his tenure as Director of Operations for the West Region of Regal Theatres, Tim managed territory that extended across 14 states and 195 locations. Since retiring in 2019, he has contributed as a consultant within the industry, specializing in expert testimony for theater-related litigation. In his free time, Tim enjoys working on his farm with his wife who is a small animal veterinarian.

​Pat O'Brien, Board Member
A retired emergency physician, EMS medical director, and Tennessee Air National Guard veteran, Pat has co-founded clinics, advised at Remote Area Medical, and served at the Kim Health Center and Knoxville Area Project Access. With more than 35 years volunteerism experience, he is excited to join the Board of Directors while continuing to volunteer with the Heroes & Horses program.

Paul Nichols, Outgoing Board Member 
We extend a special thank you to outgoing Board member Paul Nichols for his dedicated service to STAR. His six year tenure on the board has been marked by his unwavering commitment to our mission of #HealingThroughHorses, making his advocacy and support invaluable to our organization. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to reconnect with Paul in the future, as he has graciously pledged to remain involved.​
