lynn
Lynn Klimas Petr

Lynn is STAR's founder and full-time Executive Director/Program Coordinator. She holds a BS degree in Special Education, and a MS in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Tennessee. She is an Advanced Level PATH Intl. Instructor and mentor and an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning. Lynn is also a PATH Intl. Lead On-Site Visitor for the National Accreditation Program, Faculty for the Center Accreditation Training and is the Chair of the PATH Intl. Education Oversight Committee.

Kristen
Kristen Sanders

Kristen is STAR's Director of Adminstration. She is an Advanced Level PATH Intl. Instructor and mentor. She has a BS in Marketing and a MBA degree from Tennessee Technological University. Kristen is also an Associate Site Visitor for the PATH Intl. National Accreditation program.

Shara Cross

Shara is the Development Director for STAR. She has a Bachelors degree from Wichita State University in Integrated Marketing Communications and has worked in fundraising and development for over 10 years.

Melissa Suadi

Melissa is the Volunteer Coordinator for STAR. She has a passion for the special needs community and obtained experience in the field by volunteering as a Therapy Assistant at Adam’s Camp, a Colorado-based nonprofit organization. Melissa has a strong administrative background with an emphasis in Personnel Management that was obtained while attending college in Louisiana.

Jennifer Howard

Jennifer is STAR'S Equine Manager. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with majors in Child and Family Studies and Psychology. She has been riding and working with horses for 10+ years.

John DeVault

John is STAR's Facility Manager. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's degree in Human Ecology with an emphasis in Child and Family Studies. John also has 10+ years experience working on his family farm.

Sara Crum

Sara is STAR's Changing Strides Coordinator, a Registered Level PATH Intl. instructor and an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning. Her experience includes at-risk youth programs, Hippotherapy, equine assisted learning with school programs, curriculum development and presenting at workshops. She is certified in therapeutic foster care with the state of Tennessee and a member of the East Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth Council.

Steph Clifton

Steph is STAR’s Equine Assistant Manager. She holds an Associates degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences from Pellissippi State University. She has always been involved in the equine world and currently owns two horses and one pony. Steph is working on a trainer certification through Chris Irwin’s Natural Horsemanship program.

Claire Dickenson

Claire is STAR's Minis in Motion and Interactive Vaulting program coordinator. She is Registered Level PATH Intl. Instructor and holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Tennessee. Claire also has 15+ years experience with horses and ponies.

Lindsey Collier

Lindsey is STAR's Program Assistant and is a Registered Level PATH Intl. Instructor. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from Auburn University of Montgomery. Specializing in the sport of Eventing, Lindsey has owned and ridden horses for 15 years.

Jan McElroy
Jan holds a BS degree in Animal Science and has shown horses on the "A" circuit for many years. She holds a PATH Intl. Advanced Level Instructor certification and is the owner/operator of Hunter Hollow Farm, a private boarding/lesson stable.

Betsey Knight
Betsey is a Registered Level PATH Intl. Instructor. She has a degree in Recreation Administration with a minor in child development from California State University at Chico. She is a certified CHA instructor and owner/operator of Shadow Mountain, a horse camp for girls.

Randi Roddy
Randi is a Registered Level PATH Intl. Instructor. She is employed by Whirlpool Corporation and lives in Maryville with her son, Christopher. Randi also holds a BS in Organizational Management from Tusculum College.
robin
Robin Bowen
Robin is a PATH Intl. Registered Level Instructor. a parent of a rider, and helps out on various special events. Robin also helps with the Special Olympics in Loudon County.

Lynn Lambert
Lynn is a Registered Level PATH Intl. Instructor. She has a BS in Mathematics from the University of Tennessee. Lynn has been riding and showing since the age of 3. She had been volunteering at STAR for 12 years prior to receiving her certification.

Catherine Jennings
Catherine is a Registered PATH Intl. Instructor. She holds a Masters in Education and teaches seventh grade at Cedar Bluff Middle School. She has 8+ years experience riding and working with horses.
Jenn Gerard Jenn is a Registered PATH Intl. Instructor. She holds a BA is Sign Language Interpreting and a Minor in math. She is a Staff Interpreter/Webmaster for Knoxville Center of the Deaf.

Marilyn Cianciolo
Marilyn is a Registered PATH Intl. Instructor. She is also a Certified Yoga Instructor and retired from General Motors Corporation. She consults in strategic planning and performance assessment for non-profit organizations.
